School Closure - Important Information

Due to the unprecedented rising temperatures and the inability of our buildings to remain cool - unfortunately the decision has been taken to close the academies from lunchtime today.

Parents in Primary are able to collect their child/children from 11.00am.

Students in the secondary sites will at the end of Period 3 go to their form room. There, students will be able to contact their parents to get verbal permission to leave school and to go STRAIGHT HOME.

Staff will remain on site for any student that can not be collected or not allowed to leave the academies.

Lunch will also be available for students as they leave – In the form of a packed lunch.

We apologise for the decision as we intended to stay open but the temperatures are unacceptable and we must put health and safety first.

Hinde House Primary, Hinde House secondary and Yewlands Academy will all be open tomorrow as normal as the forecast is expected to be much cooler
